Research Stations (2014)
The 'Research Stations' are mobile working stations which can be installed in various ways and contexts.
All stations contain an individual series of nine small boxes, each with a unique combination of a tiny object, found in everyday environments, and a relating word, chosen by 'listening' to what the object has to tell in a process of close observation. This could be a force, a perception, a principle, etc. manifested in the phenomenon in its current state. By encountering the stations and their content, a field of relationships and significance is opened up through which the world speaks of itself, literally embodied as well as internally. New observations are made and meaning created by this engagement, and emerging perceptions, questions or thoughts can be noted in the accompanying 'Book of Perceptions' and shared with others, added to the ongoing research. |
