FOR WHEN YOU’VE REACHED A THRESHOLD
When your usual ways of thinking, deciding, or leading
no longer work as they used to — and something in your
life or work is beginning to shift, or beginning to take shape,
without yet being clear.
You may already recognise this.
Hi, I’m Markus.
I work with people who find themselves in situations that feel uncertain, complex, or difficult to navigate —
not because they lack competence, but because something deeper may already be beginning to change.
These are moments where:
- familiar clarity begins to loosen
- old patterns no longer work in the same way
- and new directions are not yet fully visible
Situations like these are not problems to solve too quickly.
They ask for a different kind of attention —
one that can stay present in uncertainty, without collapsing into premature answers.
My work supports you in inhabiting these moments more fully —
and in finding ways to act, decide, and move forward from within them.
Not through quick fixes or simplified strategies,
but by changing how you relate to yourself, to others,
and to the situations you are part of.
This often leads to shifts —
in how you work,
how you make decisions,
and how you relate
to what is happening
and to the people around you.
What this looks like in real life
You may recognise this in different ways.
But underneath, there is often a similar pattern:
something is shifting, but not yet fully clear.
Turning point
Something in your work or life no longer works in the same way.
You sense that a change is needed, but the direction is not yet clear.
You might feel stuck between options, or uncertain about what to trust.
Stepping into something new
You’ve stepped into a new role or level of responsibility —
and want to find your own way of inhabiting it.
You feel drawn toward something more —
a vision, a direction, or a way of working and living
that hasn’t fully taken shape yet.
You sense that more is possible,
but not in a way that can be reduced to simple goals or plans.
In between
You find yourself between what has been and what could be,
without a clear map forward.
You’ve outgrown certain ways of thinking or acting,
but new ones have not yet settled.
Threshold
These are not signs that something is wrong.
They are often indications that you’ve reached a threshold —
where familiar ways of orienting yourself begin to loosen,
and something more nuanced begins to emerge.
How I work
I don’t work with predefined solutions or fixed frameworks.
I work with you in the situation you’re in —
in how it shows up, as it shifts and develops.
This means:
- staying with what is present, even when it is unclear or uncomfortable
- expanding how you perceive and relate
- recognising patterns without reducing everything to them
- finding ways of acting and deciding that are grounded in the reality you are part of
At the centre of my work is the capacity to remain present and responsive in complexity —
not by trying to control it, but by engaging with it more directly.
- from trying to resolve situations too quickly
- to staying with them long enough for something more accurate to emerge
- from applying strategies from the outside
- to acting from within the situation itself
I sometimes refer to this as working with aliveness —
not as a concept to adopt, but as something you can experience directly in how you think, relate, and act —
and orient yourself by.
From there, change is no longer something you try to force —
but something you participate in.
Ways to work with me
There are different ways we can work together — depending on where you are and what you need.
1:1 Coaching
A space to work closely on the situations you are in —
with continuity, depth, and a focus on real change as it develops.
This is often the right place if:
- you are navigating a complex or significant transition
- you want sustained support over time
- you are ready to engage your situation more fully
Group Work (Leading from Aliveness — Lab)
A small group space exploring leadership and action in complex situations.
This includes:
- guided sessions
- shared inquiry
- and moments of direct work on your own situations
First Conversation
If you already have a sense that this could be relevant for you,
you can explore how I work and what I offer.
From there, you can start a conversation.
